Get Real Recipes brings a new concept to that of the everyday bulky recipe book. Susie Halley and Clare Corballis have compacted 52 Classic Recipes into the size of a deck of cards. This is their second series. It will be available the end of November 2014

How to buy Get Real Recipes

Clare trained at the famous Ballymaloe cookery school, where she learned a love of good home cooking and the importance of quality ingredients.  Susie had always enjoyed cooking and experimenting with different dishes, trying vegetarian and vegan cooking through the years.

Susie and Clare both have children who were away at college.  They frequently got phone calls from their children who would call from the supermarket asking what ingredients they needed to buy to make ‘spag bol’ or another of their favourite recipes.

The idea was born to print a simple set of cards that would be handy to refer to when shopping.  Each card would have a convenient list of ingredients and simple instructions on how to cook the tasty fun suppers and avoid pre-packed dinners.

It quickly became clear that this idea would appeal to more than students.  How often have you planned a meal for family, friends and yourself, written down what you need and then forgotten the list when you go to the shop or find that they don’t have the essential ingredient in stock.  With Get Real Recipes there’s no need to panic, just choose another dish from your cards conveniently stored in your handbag or pocket!

They set about choosing appropriate recipes for the ‘cards’.  All recipes are tried and trusted and tasted by the highly critical family audience! The girls have compacted 52 Classic Recipes into the size of a deck of cards.

  • “What’s for Supper?”
  • Never be stuck again!
  • Need inspiration?
  • Classic simple recipes with no fuss.
  • Full recipe on one plastic coated playing card.
  • 52 Classic ideas for supper, with a list of all your ingredients needed, ready for the shops!

Carry these recipe cards with you, and have, at your fingertips,  colour coded quick and easy recipes using:- Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Pork, Fish, Pasta, Vegetarian complimented by three Jokers.

Welcome to my new website
December 18th, 2009

Hi Sinead Ni Riain here and welcome to my newly launched website.

A  big thank you to Liam Chivers www.metronet.ie and his team who  redesigned it for me. Liam designed the original site in 2006 and I was thrilled with it. I t went on to win numerous international awards and my clients loved the site.

With the advent of Blackberry’s and I phones most people are accessing the web using these but a “Flash” styled website doesn’t work on this.

Also as I love social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter and soon to be launched Bebo. The new website will integrate all this for me.

Look forward to hearing your opinions.
